Based on Steven’s bestselling book Adrift: 76 Days Lost at Sea, the feature documentary allows him to recount the experience in his own words, bringing together his firsthand narration with archival materials and cinematic recreations. The film was directed, produced and edited by Joe Wein, who also created its sound design. Visual effects were produced through 44 Keys. 76 Days Adrift features an original score by Patrick Stump and is executive produced by Academy Award–winning filmmaker Ang Lee.
